 Description
This new Greddy timer allows automatic calculation of cooldown based on driving habits. It will also allow you to manually select the cooldown time, so you may have full control. The unit has these extra features: Battery voltage monitor with warning Race lap monitoring Speedometer monitor with peak-hold and warning Various drag time calculations. From Greddy: "The basic function of a turbo timer is to allow the vehicle to idle the engine for a timed period, with the ignition key removed. This allows the engine oil and turbo center cartridge to cool down and prevent internal turbo damage. GReddy Full Auto Timers pack tons of features into one economical, compact unit. In addition to two standard programmable count down presets (P-1, P-2), the GReddy Full Auto Timer also has two auto timer modes (A-L, A-H). The modes estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicles alternator signal and then recommend a count down time. Also new are the stopwatch/lap time and attack modes along with a built in voltmeter and speedometer. Still standard are the optional parking brake and speedo safety hook-ups."

Greddy Auto Timer   1/24/2005

An update: my first GReddy full-auto TT burned up after 4 months and 4,000 miles! I had parked my car with 8 seconds on the timer. When I returned about 15 minutes later, the engine was still running. The turbo timer was hot and smelled of burnt electrical parts. The TT wouldn't turn off, and releasing the parking brake didn't stop the engine either, as it usually would. After switching the ignition back on, I was able to turn the unit off and then stop the engine by switching off the key. I returned the unit, and after 3 months, finally got a replacement. Three months after installing the new unit, it started shutting the engine off after 15 seconds regardless of how much time was on the timer! I gave up and bought the Apexi unit. It’s vastly superior and a joy to use.

This is a must have. I have one of the "Old School" Greddy Turbo Timers with the funky music. I have had it since Feb 2002 and have had no problems with it. It operates fully. When purchasing this unit I HIGHLY reccomend purchasing the Wiring harness for it. Then it is just a pulg and play. Install is a snap if you plan on doing it your self. If you are a tall person like my self I reccomend doing alot of streaching before you decide to twist your self into a pretzel to install the wiring harness under the dash. You need to remove the lower Dash Bezzel, and unclip the ignition harness, clip in the ignition harness to one side of the turbo timer harness, click in the other side of the turbo timer harness to the other side of the ignition, then click in the Turbo Timer harness to the Turbo Timer. Unfold yourself from under the dash and Voila, you are ready to roll. Just a side note it would be a good idea to plan have where you want your timer to sit first, then you can run the wires. Very easy do it your self project. I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and have a great day! P.S. Buy from Supra Sport. I did not at the time as I did not know about them when I ordered it. Sorry =)
