| I purchased this as one of my first upgrades since my stocker was shot. Been running it about a year and a half now, and haven't had a problem with it yet. Other then the occasional cleaning of the "threads&q-uot; inside, it doesn't need any real upkeep. The couplers could stand to be a bit smaller, as mentioned in another review, but gets the job done, that shiny plastic lining it has WILL dry up, turn horrible colors and fall apart after a few months, just take it off, no biggie, its blue again.
Very loud, must be the loudest I've heard so far. If this one ever dies I may go with the HKS SSQV unit next time. I did rig up a hose to vent back into the stock BOV location on the accordian hose, used a rubber hose, quieted it down 99% and if you didn't expect to hear it, you wouldn't, also stopped the backfire/muffle-r explosion problem with atmo. BOVS. Some people get flutter, never ran into that problem, might be due to the spring being set to hard, since I started from softest to hardest, set it harder until she stopped bogging and stalling, and left her there, haven't had a problem since. Good for scaring the crap out of people with open windows and the occasional bus stop people =) |
