I am working on getting a kit together for a reluctor wheel and sensor pick up package. As of right now this is just the reluctor wheel nothing else. The wheel is a 36-2 steel that is zinc coated to prevent corrosion. I have had extensive talks with AEM about what would work well for their Series 2 and beyond. The answer was if I was willing to make up a reluctor when that it would be best to be 36-2. That will run without a cam sensor. (Per AEM, not tested, as batch fuel and spark) However I repurposed my cam sensor to give a TDC #1 mark to the ECU and let the crank wheel do the rest. It is a direct bolt on to an ATI balancer with the AC pulley installed on it. I am working on a different (better looking) solution for the mounting of the actual sensor. I have had no problem with vibration causing improper pickup or timing on the current setup I am running. I am running a late model Toyota crank sensor that is used to the 36-2 pattern and it works great. With the air gap over 1/16th of an inch I am getting over 1 volt of AC voltage while just cranking. I have checked the pattern with an oscilloscope and it is a very clean pattern. I went from not even being able to tune on the dyno, to only changing the crank pick up and going to 539 hp 528 tq.
This is the Kit for the wheel. Will need a stand alone as well but this kit includes the Reluctor wheel, ATI/Titan dampener, bracket for the crank sensor, crank shaft sensor itself, connector and pigtails for the crank sensor, ignition coils (set of 6), ignition coil holder.
