| I bought these a few years ago for my 86.5 and it was in an accident right after, so i just put them on my 89' with eibach springs and i love them, the ride is still but not too stiff |

| Pretty good struts. Better than tokicos, although not as stiff as Matt Brenner makes them seem. The stiffness he's talking about is coming from his springs which is what really creates the hard ride. The dampers only "muffle" how fast the spring bounces back after its compressed going over a bump. I got TRD 1" lowering springs so i used the highest perch because any other setting would lower my car too much. But i like them, my wheels dont rub that easy anymore. The only solution for that is stiffer springs. Take a look at Tein Type RA's for the stiffest ride. |

| I pretty much agree with the guy's review who said he had problems w/ the front on the 87.
I have yet to fix this problem , but I can tell you it's been a major disapointment! I seriously almost hate driving the car, I have to dodge just about every little bump in the road! It's partly the combo with Eibach's that makes it stiff, but I can tell you right now I still think they are too hard for realistic street use. Very stiff ride, no doubt about that, car handles wonderfully if its a flat surface, and the drop is wonderful...

Although the drop wasn't even ( The Drivers side is slightly lower then the pass ). Car looks fantastic, but at a price to pay. I plan on getting at least the front 2 struts, I don't feel like wasting my time with them.
Oh, one good thing I really liked about them was the adjustable perch settings, the bottom perch lowered my car a good 3 inchs ( But thats from really high old stock suspension ).
Perhaps in a 89+ You might not run into the same problems, I can't tell you for sure. |
