Pressure Plate
Disc Type
 
The pressure plate is the clamping load and pedal pressure feel.  This is the first two letters after the TS2-__xx.  The disc is directly related to the type of driving you plan to use your Supra for mostly.  Remember when you go to a puck style clutch the engagement will be harsher...but if you wanted a smooth engagement you would be driving an auto not a tricked out MANUAL!!!  The disk type is the last two digits of the part #  TS2-xx__.
 
Pressure plate type:
Heavy Duty-HD
  • 20%-50% Clamp load increase
  • Stock to moderate pedal feel
Xtreme-XT
  • 50%-120% Clamp load increase
  • Moderate to stiff pedal feel
Disc type:
 Street Disc Performance-SS
  • Recommended for Street and Race
  • Quicker Engagement
  • Quiet Operation
  • Best organic friction material, improved hub and burst strength.
Sprung centered race disc
  Four Puck G4:
  • Recommended for road racing
  • Increased torque capacity and spline life
  • Good durability and spline life
  • Quiet operation, reduced driveline shock
  • Harsh engagement, chatter
  Six Puck G6:
  • Recommended for road racing and high power street
  • Increased torque capacity and spline life
  • Very good durability and good spline life
  • Quiet operation, reduced driveline shock
  • Harsh engagement, chatter
Solid centered race disc
  Four Puck R4:
  • Recommended for drag and road racing
  • Increased torque capacity
  • Fastest shifts, low inertia
  • Good durability but shortened spline life
  • Harsh engagement, chatter

Six Puck R6:

  •  Increased torque capacity
  • Faster shifts, reduced inertia
  • Very good durability but shortened spline life
  • Absorbs more heat than four puck
